You do not need to log into additional platforms to complete lessons. For the majority of your classes, everything happens inside Canvas.

Weekly Modules & Pacing

Every course is broken into weekly modules. These modules map out your lessons and quizzes in the order they should be completed so you always know:

• What to work on each week

• How many lessons are needed to stay on pace

• Where you are in the course

• What’s coming next

This structure gives you a clear, predictable path from the first lesson all the way to the final exam.

You’ll also see a pacing guide, which provides a weekly breakdown of how many lessons you should complete to finish the course on time.

Locked Modules & Passing Requirements

Modules are locked and must be completed in order.

Students will need to:

• Pass each quiz with an 80% or higher to automatically unlock the next lesson

• Have two attempts for every quiz

• Score at least 60% to move forward, though we recommend aiming for 80%+ for success in the course

Our lessons are different from what you’re used to at school. Our lessons were designed so you can watch and listen at the same time, instead of taking notes throughout the lesson. Research shows that students are more engaged, have better comprehension, and retain information longer when they learn through short, engaging lessons that deliver information where we utilize multiple senses at the same time. Our micro lessons were designed for visual and auditory learners.

• Pay full attention during the lesson
  

• Rewatch any unclear sections

• Do not take notes (you’ll take notes on the EOC at the end of the course).

• Stay focused and avoid distractions

If you do not reach 80% on the first attempt, simply rewatch the lesson and retake the quiz. This structure helps ensure students truly understand the material and are prepared for the end-of-course exam.

Completing the Course & Accessing the Final Exam

Once you have:

• Completed all weekly modules

• Finished all lessons and quizzes

• The Final Exam & Information module will automatically unlock.
  
  

Here you’ll find:

• The End-of-Course Review (EOC)

• Review materials

• Final exam instructions

We encourage students to take their time on the EOC, study the material, and create brief handwritten notes in their own words. These notes may be used on the final exam and help reinforce understanding.

Parent Observer Accounts

Parents and guardians are able to sign up as observers in Canvas.
This allows families to:

• View progress

• Monitor grades

• See completed and upcoming assignments

• Support pacing and time management

Observer access helps keep everyone on the same page without needing additional logins or platforms.

Watching Lessons & Taking Quizzes

Everything you need is just a click away. When you select a lesson:

1. The video lesson will open right inside Canvas

2. You will watch the lesson

3. Complete the short quiz at the end

4. Move forward through the module as you pass each section

The process is designed to be simple, consistent, and easy to follow.
