Some Smarter by 1 Degree courses use Study.com lessons instead of Edpuzzle or Canvas-hosted video lessons. These courses are accessed directly through Canvas, with all lessons organized as chapter modules.

Getting Started

When you’re invited to a Study.com-based classroom, simply:

1. Accept your course invitation from the email you received.

2. You’ll be routed to your Canvas Dashboard where you can open your class.

Once inside, you’ll notice that these classrooms look a little different — there’s no separate Course Materials page.
All your lessons are displayed right inside the Canvas course as links under each chapter module.

Accessing a Lesson

To start your lessons:

1. Open your course in Canvas.

2. Click on a lesson link within the module.

3. Select View Assignment.

4. You’ll see a Study.com authorization screen.

   • Click Authorize to allow Canvas and Study.com to connect.

   • This enables your quiz results to sync automatically.

5. You’ll then be redirected to Study.com to complete your lesson.

Completing Your Lesson

1. Watch the full video lesson.

2. Take the five-question quiz at the end.

3. When finished, exit Study.com and return to Canvas.

Always return to Canvas between lessons.
Some courses include unassigned lessons in Study.com, so following Canvas links ensures you complete only the required material.

Tracking Your Progress

• After completing each lesson and quiz, a checkmark will appear in Canvas showing that lesson is complete.

• This helps you keep track of your progress and ensures you’re moving through lessons in the correct order.

Final Exam and Course Completion

At the end of each course, you’ll find:

• A link to your End-of-Course (EOC) Review

• Final Exam access instructions

• A Class Completion Form to submit once you finish all lessons

Submitting this form lets our team confirm completion and remove the course from your dashboard.
